General Manager

Marko has over 25 years experience in high tech development, engineering management, and marketing and sales, as well as an extensive international experience. He has worked for large and medium sized corporations as well as start-up companies, and worked with the partners of Nif/T to develop the ‘consulting-at-risk’ model. He is experienced in intellectual property identification and protection, strategic negotiations, strategic marketing, as well as product definition and corporate positioning. Among his roles are vice president of marketing and sales of Nogatech Ltd., including its IPO, and prior to that with Tower Semiconductor Ltd. where he was key in formulating the company's strategic direction and significantly large agreements negotiated and closed. At National Semiconductor Marko has served as strategic marketing manager, product marketing manager, and chip design manager. Prior to National Marko served as an officer in the Israeli Air Force. 

Marko is also a director at Nif/T, eNitiatives’ affiliate based in California’s silicon valley, and is its resident representative in Israel. He holds a BSEE from the Technion in Israel and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a co-inventor of five patents, with several others pending, in the areas of computer architectures, internet, CMOS image sensors, communications and networking, and has published a dozen professional papers.

Text Box: Michael Ben-Shimon
Manager and IP Analyst

Ben-Shimon has gained significant high-tech research and development experience while working for Israel's air force in aviation electronics, at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and later on with the Israel Aerospace Industries. His interdisciplinary skills are especially useful as he joined the intellectual property catalyst services where he specializes in identification, interviewing, and writing patent pseudo code documents for inventors. He brings together his job experience as well as his formal education in computer sciences and in physics to provide in-depth discussion of innovation, added insights, and broader scope. Among others he specializes in intellectual property that includes computers, semiconductors and circuits, software, networking, Internet, databases, and process modeling. 

He holds BSc degrees from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in both Physics and Computer Sciences.
